How Fetching My Mom At The Airport Helped Me Trim My Waistline

WARNING: This is NOT another blog post about how to lose weight, but rather a blog post where I aim to introduce and share a concept that helped me, personally, trim my waistline and could help you with getting stuff done that you avoid.

Trimming my waistline and losing weight was my challenge. If you have something you would like to achieve, but keep putting off, then watch this video and make sure to leave a comment below.

Perhaps you are avoiding spring cleaning your cupboards or tidying the garage? Perhaps you, too, want to lose weight, but just can’t find the time. Want to stop smoking or find time for something you know you want to do, but so easily blow off? Perhaps, this video, will help you change it.

Oh, and if you would like to know how I dropped 1 – 2 dress sizes, leave a comment in the blog post below and I’ll share what I did!

      Hi Hema, I totally understand the lack of energy and motivation. Lack of energy will improve IF you exercise, however, you have to find the energy to do the exercise which can be challenging when you’re in that position (I was there!). For me, I was the largest I had ever been and the thought of exercising was daunting. I totally get it as I’ve been there. But, you can’t win a competition if you don’t enter, right? So, you can’t improve energy and lose weight without doing something about it. The best way is to approach it from a NON-NEGOTIABLE way of thinking like me NOT fetching my Mom was just NOT an option. I did T25: http://www.beachbody.com/product/fitness_programs/focus-t25-workout.do – 25 minutes per day and it’s fun and it’s awesome!! I hope this helps! If you don’t get it right, keep trying. I did Insanity and stopped after 4 weeks because I hurt my back from bad form. To start again was difficult, but I did it and now I’m here. You can too – do it for YOURSELF! Good luck x

    Okay… this video SO hit home. I am at the office and struggling to get accounts done for our bookkeeper… accounts that should have been done 6 months ago. I put it off till the last minute and then I’m in this stressful position yet again. And this happens every year. And I don’t have time to exercise, but if I just get my behind out of bed earlier, I will! You look great! I’d love to know what you did xx

      Hi CharlieW, Firstly – deep breaths! :) Then, prioritise and don’t try and necessarily tackle everything in one go.
      With regard to the exercise – I did a Shaun T exercise program (still busy with it and will be repeating it) called T25. It’s 25 minutes a day. So, if you can find 40 – 45 minutes, you can do it! I get up just before my kids and am done by the time they wake up. And, it DOES work!!

      RE the accounts – I get it! But, imagine how good it will feel to have it done. Think of a non-negotiable task (like me not fetching my MOM at the airport) and tackle it like that. Switch off the phones, put the music up if that works for you and get it done! You can do it!! x

      Hi Pauline, Obviously diet played a big role, but given my time constraints as a business owner and Mom, I had limited time. I love Shaun T’s exercises and started with Insanity. But, all my success started with T25 (recently launched) and it’s 25 minutes per day. It’s great and it’s for ALL fitness levels AND it’s really 25 minutes – if you can find yourself time for 40 – 45 minutes max every day (I do it early morning), you CAN do it.       Hi Leigh, I totally understand what you are saying. I run multiple businesses, have 2 young kids and finding the time to exercise was my biggest challenge. I suggest asking yourself what you would do if YOUR MOM was at the airport waiting for you? What would YOU do? Would you leave her there? We make time for things IF we HAVE to. To do lists, schedules and delegating can help so much. If you make an appointment at the doctor, you go. Make an appointment and you will have to think about things carefully before you say – I can’t go. YOu wouldn’t cancel a doctor’s appointment appointment last minute because you would most likely get billed for it. Change your way of thinking and schedule it – you can do it. Keep me posted xx

    You really are an inspiration I have a bunch of things that I want to get done over the holidays, I’m taking your advice and removing it from my to do list and scheduling it onto my calendar instead.
    I’m definitely going to try that exercise program as well.
